Why is there a need for training the subconscious?

‘I was in public gathering. I saw a beautiful lady standing at a distance of four feet from me. We saw each other, we both smiled. I knew from her facial expression that she was also expecting me to come over there and talk to her. Unfortunately, even after knowing so, I was not able to walk to her and talk. Hell I can’t even talk to my neighbors.’ ‘I am an overweight fellow. I am good looking. But I am loner. But, my friend with similar constitution has many friends, beautiful girls also, like being with him.’ ‘I have to get the job done, but even after resolving to do the job on time I end up doing on 11th hour.’

If you see these two instances it is quite evident that these normal problems faced by many people in life can be easily dealt by changing the attitude. The solutions to these problems are self-evident. There are innumerably many problems we face daily in life which seems to have an easy solution but when we are to practice them these easy solutions seems to be the hardest things to carry out, whether it is switching off the fans and lights when you are leaving the room, hanging the clothes on hanger after coming from job or putting them directly to washing basket, getting out of home ten minutes earlier than required time to catch a train or a bus or a flight, or starting that so severely needed running. Some people do these things as easily as brushing teeth in morning and some find it so difficult that they feel they will die but won’t be able to carry these things out.
But one may question why is it felt so difficult to apply these small things? Why sometimes when it is pre-imagined feels like we will feel excruciating pain and that fear of the pain that we will feel during the process makes us not to pursue the thing that we want to pursue for such a long time? But after the event has gone the solution to have that job done seems so easy and doable. Hence, we again resolve to do the job but again end up not completing the job.
The thing is humans actually never use their conscious mind to perform certain tasks like driving, balancing and other daily habits. These habits come from the things we have learned as a child or even as adults, or as some say ‘the beliefs’, that are put into our systems by our surrounding people. These beliefs enables us to do particular habit over and over, while the things to which we hold a contrary belief are usually repelled, however good they might be.

A Psychiatric Evidence
Here is one case of a psychiatric patient. The patient, 35, had a history of High blood pressure, and high body fat percentage. Regular exercise was the only good option to overcome it. But whenever the patient started the exercise he stopped after few weeks like the way a beginner drives the car. During the psychoanalysis of the patient it came up that the patient had an incident in which he was rejected by few ladies. His overweight condition not only kept him away from the ladies but also meant he won’t be having any more rejections in life. When this belief was overcome, the patient finally was able to improve his health condition.
Similar are the reasons why we usually find few things difficult to do. Our mind restrains itself from changing the way it perceives things. But when voluntarily perceived enough, it can change completely its habit.
 Once the belief and for our unwanted behavior pattern is known and the experience which caused the belief to take root is understood empathetically. The belief can be easily overcome and the habits can be changed. But till that time you will need to work hard.



Is there any other way around?
NO there isn't any way around. You have to get the job done yourself. You have to go through the problems of your life. And ‘don’t worry!’ you won’t feel the amount of pain you think you would. Actually you will end up feeling much better than if you hadn't done it at all. What can you ask for more? You will be feeling lesser pain than you imagined and at the same time you are having relief that you have the job completed. Plus you won’t be harassing and killing yourself with all those abusive talk that one usually does. Plus no hurt and haste to work on last moments. Plus you can send the rest of the time as you want. Plus better health because no tension. This is like but]y one and get six free!  Quite an offer, don’t you think?
Yes my friend, it’s the best offer of life. Take it. And change the way you see yourself and the way world sees you. Don’t wait. Start. Just attack all the things that is making you sad and dejected and are killing you. Be the person you are.
