The Wisdom of a Withered Tree

What we write is general. Probably you may have heard it or read it. But our post is just to bring a reminder, you are the indomitable.

Introduction:

Sometimes when I read or hear something profound, life starts talking to me through my mind and beautiful revelations come to me.'It's not what you look at that matter, it's what you see', brought me this revelation.

Withered Tree:

The fully blossomed tree of springs seems beautiful. They seem more joyous in themselves and also to the sight of an observer. However, the withered trees of the winter months (similarly, in deciduous forest same thing happens due to extreme heat of summer) are always depicted with evil spirits and dark moments but, I guarantee that these trees depict a more profound lessons of nature and life.

The withered tree, gives away all its leaves during winter, only few are able to withstand the terrible cold and goes into a state of dormancy. Ti continues to stay dormant until the time is right to blossom again. These trees give a very profound way of to live life.

All the leaves that it grew were its own, still it shed it to survive. This signifies, that we as human beings should also shred away our thoughts, habits, prejudice, beliefs and ego that have been holding us. However good they might be but they are not good enough for us to be great. Every day when we wake up, we have out-lived the person that slept yesterday, so why shouldn't the person that woke up today not out-grow the bad habits and beliefs of the person that slept yesterday? Like the tree we need to let go off the things of today to blossom in the future.

The tree never knows what the future is. It never knows how long the extreme weather will last. All it knows is to let go off its leaves and enter a state of dormancy. However when a catastrophe hits us, we create another virtual problem called 'worry' to aggravate the present situation . Instead of taking a step to solve the problem we cling onto the problem with the fear that we will never be able to get to other side of this mountain. The withered tree tells you to take a step, nature will help you solve your problem.

It tells you to have patience and persevere. The tree keeps its state of dormancy till the extreme weather pass by. However, it keeps on doing what needs to be done. Many of us feel that the problem will pass by if we ignore it for long enough. However, it never passed. More and more problems pile upon it, which makes us feel it is overcome. But be sure, someday it will strike again. So don't worry, just do what need to be done without worrying about the consequences. Remember,'Bad things don't happen to good people to break them, but to make them. If you have to shine like a diamond, you ought to get cut like a diamond.'

At last, even if it is a withered tree, it never fears to blossom again. When it gets to the moment where it knows it should blossom, it spreads its bliss with all might. It never feels that it is too old to blossom. It never shrinks itself and just die. Humans also never let themselves dance when they get a chance in their life. Sometimes the best way to be happy is to let go things we dearly want to hold. Age is not factor that decides how much one should enjoy living. Many humans beautifully carry a mask of ego, showing that they are happy when internally they are decaying. Just throw this mask away and make the inner self happy. Take actions to make the inner self happy and life will bring more things that will make you happy.
'If you are thankful for this life, life will offer you more instances to be thankful for.'

So my friends, 'Carpe Diem'! Let the universe play its role in your life and you fulfill your own duty. Let the universe place all its love into your heart.

Bhagvad Gita, Chapter 2 verse 47:

"Karmanye: Va:dhi:ka:ras the:
Ma: phale:shu kada:chana |
ma: karma phala he:thyrbhuhu
ma:the sango:: sthv akarmani||

Translation:
Action alone is thy province, never the fruit thereof; let not thy motive be the fruit of action, nor should you desire to avoid action.
