A rose plant might be a perfect metaphor for the relationships of our life. Each rose of the plant represents the relationships we have in our life. Just like the roses, each one is unique. The beauty and fragrance of the rose certainly resembles the way these relationships make our life beautiful and the way their fragrance affects each spheres of our life. Each petal we uncover of these relationships, we get deeper into them, finally finding the softest part of the flower, those are the delicate moments of trust in the person. Never hurt this trust.
However, each rose of our life is surrounded by endless thorns of attachments and expectations. While, cherishing the rose, if you choose the stem to hold the rose, the thorns will definitely prick you, especially when the relationships fall apart. The roses of relationships may fade away easily but the thorns usually sustain the breakups.
So it is necessary to hold the roses. But not too tightly, or you will scar them. You need to hold them with just perfect balance of attachments and detachments. Don't pluck these relationships from the tree of your life and carry them at every place you go. The roses of relationships might soon fade away, with no fragrance but just wry petals of memories.
And last but not the least, you have to put the manure of care, trust, presence and the water of love to make the roses glow, otherwise the entire plant will soon die.
