Satirist Me: The hypocritical Swach Bharat Abhiyan(Clean India Campaign)

India is definitely a society of hypocrites. All implementation in India seem to go on superficial level. Take for example the Swach Bharat Abhiyan(Clean India Campaign). You can see many politicians, actors and socialites come forward grab the broom, surround themselves with 30-40 people and sweep the streets.

It really looks funny, because I can guarantee the that the dirt that these guys swept was re-deposited by the countless followers behind these guys or even more maybe. But, what is the actual motto of the abhiyan, Take away the job of street sweepers? or Give them a holiday for a day or two? Or Give them an opportunity to look at the jokers sweeping the road in crowd of 30 that they alone do?

Well, that is India. Talking on a serious note, it really needs to be understood that swachta(cleanliness) is not just an action of cleaning vicinity but, a mindset of preventing yourself and others from creating the nuisance, by throwing the scraps most of us directly throw on any place(that is not home) without giving a second thought. India is country of 'Yeh jaruri hai, par tu kar(this is important but you do it).' However, the noble the aim of the campaign seems the end result is null and void for the only reason that the actions have come into picture(actions for the camera) and yet the mindset of the Indians are untouched.

If India has to change then the mindset of the masses needs to be changed, which is just a mixture of the Indian traditions and Western culture. Otherwise, let it be the Swach Bharat Abhiyan or the anti-smoking Laws created, they all will remain a piece of paper, which will be finally thrown somewhere(if not dustbin) to create some more garbage to clean or another opportunity for some fellow to click a selfie while picking it up and throwing it in the dustbin, and post it on Fb in name of his responsible behavior for clean and better India.

No wonder the newly started local carriage on western line of Mumbai suburb is already smeared in red marks of spitting ghutka(tobacco).

PS: The objective of this post is definitely not to hurt any sentiments. The main objective of this satire is to bring the people to an understanding of what is happening in our country and what exactly needs to be done.
